Hello, I’m Chloe.
I’m a writer, creative, collector, and chronic appreciator of old things.
I’ve always been someone with far too many interests to fit neatly into one box… the sort of person whose ‘perfect day’ might involve spending the morning reading about Tudor queens, the afternoon being a magpie for the myriad curiosities to be found in a vintage, antiques, or charity shop, and the evening baking from a once trusted mid-century recipe that takes my fancy.
I’m endlessly drawn to the stories people leave behind: in books, objects, homes, recipes, traditions, and collections. Much of what I create grows from that curiosity.
By day, I work in people-focused organisational support roles, helping build equitable and compassionate workplaces. I also have the pleasure of spending a good deal of time with my little boy. Beyond that, Noted by Chloe is where all my creative threads meet — writing, research, baking, crafting, collecting, making, and sharing.
My background spans art history, literature, education, heritage, digital marketing, copywriting, and community work, which perhaps explains why this website charting my various activities and interests refuses to stay in a single lane.
Over the years I’ve written book reviews for historical publishers, delivered creative workshops for WI groups (I am also a member of the Women’s Institute and attend in my village), collaborated with heritage brands including Camp Coffee, and created content centred on books, baking, homemaking, and decidedly nostalgic, creative living.
At heart, though, I’m simply someone who loves thoughtful work, meaningful conversation, beautiful objects, and making everyday life feel rich with story. I especially enjoy visits to National Trust properties, slices of homemade cake, and slipping into bed at the end of the day with a good book and mug of Ovaltine.
I live in Oxfordshire with my husband and little boy, where life currently revolves around family, work, faith, community, books, baking, and whatever creative project has taken over the dining table.
